“Quiet preparation is part of the lesson.”
Meet Iris Rowan
Iris brings a patient eye and an unhurried teaching style to every lesson. She works with first-time adults and returning riders, breaking unfamiliar skills into small, repeatable steps.
At Bridlewood, each session begins with a conversation. A rider may want to feel comfortable around horses, return after a long break or prepare for a new challenge. Iris listens first, then builds an achievable plan with plenty of time for feedback.
A thoughtful approach
Good coaching looks after the whole partnership. Lessons include an appropriate warm-up, clear explanations and space to recognise when a horse or rider needs a different approach. Small adjustments are celebrated because they make the foundations stronger.
